How to Register a Company in Dubai

Before registering a company in Dubai, it's important to decide on a jurisdiction: Mainland or one of dozens of Free Zones. This choice affects your market reach, office requirements and license cost.

For most remote-friendly businesses — IT, consulting, e-commerce — a Free Zone is usually faster and simpler: no local partner is required, and the document package is minimal.

If the company plans to work directly with the local UAE market or bid for government tenders, Mainland registration is worth considering.

Either way, the process includes trade name approval, initial approval, preparing incorporation documents and obtaining the trade license. Once the licence is issued, opening a bank account is what remains — in practice the least predictable step.
